Our Story
Aesthete occurred through opportunity rather than intention. Established by Registered Nurse Janette Irwin in 2019, Aesthete began as a single-room aesthetic practice operating from a converted residential apartment on the Sunshine Coast. Never intended to become permanent, it simply provided the opportunity to continue practising independently while quietly laying the foundations for what would follow.
The move to Maroochydore in 2022 created the capacity for Aesthete to think beyond the limitations of where it began. It allowed the clinic to evolve, broaden its capabilities and establish the foundations for everything that would follow. National and international recognition came quickly, but it was the changing expectations of our patients that ultimately shaped the next stage of Aesthete.
What began as conversations about appearance gradually expanded to include skin health, prevention, hormonal transition, health optimisation and overall wellbeing. Referrals to plastic surgeons, skin cancer doctors and other medical specialists became a familiar part of practice, revealing that while healthcare had become progressively more specialised, the patient experience had often become increasingly fragmented. Those observations challenged us to think differently about what healthcare could become.
During 2026, Aesthete Sunshine Coast underwent a quiet rebrand to Aesthete Wellness, reflecting both the organisation's expansion beyond a single location and the beginning of a broader vision already taking shape.
Opening in 2027, Aesthete Noosa marks the most ambitious step in the organisation's history. More than a second location, it establishes the future direction of Aesthete. Drawing upon leading international advances in longevity medicine, neuroarchitecture and environmental neuroscience, it explores a more integrated model of healthcare, where aesthetic medicine, health optimisation, restorative wellness and specialist medical care are progressively brought together within one organisation. It reflects a long-term commitment to creating one of Australia's most progressive approaches to private practice, redefining healthcare through the integration of medicine, environment, human experience and human connection.
