Erbium Laser is commonly utilised to support concerns associated with fine lines, early wrinkles, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, mild acne scarring, sun-damaged skin and overall skin texture irregularities. It is frequently selected by patients seeking skin resurfacing and rejuvenation without the extended recovery associated with more aggressive laser procedures.
A numbing cream is applied before treatment for comfort. During the treatment a Zimmer or cold air device is used to cool the skin. Most clients describe a warm or tingling sensation during the session.
Initial improvements may become visible as the skin recovers following treatment, typically at 7–10 days. Continued improvements develop over subsequent months as collagen remodelling and regenerative processes progress.
Downtime is minimal, typically 1–3 days of mild redness and flaking.

Over the following several days, some dryness and light flaking may occur as the skin progresses through its natural renewal process. Visible improvements in skin texture and brightness are often noticeable within 7 to 10 days, with ongoing collagen remodelling continuing in the weeks that follow.
Following treatment, it is important to maintain gentle skincare, support hydration and avoid unnecessary skin irritation. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection is essential, and direct sun exposure should be minimised throughout the healing period. Active ingredients such as retinol, AHAs and BHAs should generally be avoided for approximately 5 to 7 days or as directed by your clinician. Patients should also avoid picking or manually exfoliating any flaking skin during recovery.
The number of treatments required depends on individual skin concerns and treatment objectives. For many patients, a series of 1 to 3 treatments spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended to achieve optimal skin resurfacing and collagen stimulation outcomes.
