Cutera LimeLight IPL™
Advanced IPL technology supporting sun damage correction, pigmentation management and long-term skin clarity.
Pigmentation, Redness & Skin Clarity
Cutera LimeLight IPL selectively targets excess pigmentation and superficial vascular irregularities whilst supporting overall skin clarity and tone.
Suitable for a broad range of pigment-related concerns, treatment may improve sun damage, age spots, freckles, diffuse redness and uneven complexion with minimal interruption to daily activities.
Rather than treating isolated pigment alone, assessment considers the underlying factors contributing to pigmentation, vascular change, skin health and long-term maintenance.
Treatment recommendations are guided by consultation, skin analysis and clinical assessment, allowing every treatment pathway to remain personalised to your skin and treatment objectives.
THE AESTHETE APPROACH
Healthy skin is more than the absence of pigmentation.
At Aesthete, pigmentation management begins with understanding why pigment has developed. Consultation, skin analysis and assessment allow treatment recommendations to address not only visible pigmentation, but the underlying contributors influencing long-term skin health.
Cutera LimeLight IPL may be incorporated alongside prescription skincare, preventative skin health strategies and complementary technologies where clinically appropriate.

LIMELIGHT IPL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Cutera LimeLight IPL is commonly used to improve sun damage, age spots, freckles, diffuse redness, superficial vascular lesions and uneven skin tone. Following consultation and skin assessment, treatment recommendations are tailored according to your skin condition, pigmentation type and long-term skin health objectives.
Treatment is most commonly performed on the face, neck, chest and hands, although other areas affected by sun damage or pigmentation may also be suitable. During consultation, your clinician will determine the most appropriate treatment areas based on your concerns and skin assessment.
Most patients describe treatment as a brief warming sensation or the feeling of a light elastic band flicking the skin. The procedure is generally well tolerated and does not usually require anaesthetic.
Pigmented lesions typically darken before naturally flaking away over the following one to three weeks. Improvements in redness and overall skin clarity develop progressively, with results continuing throughout a recommended treatment program.
Most patients experience minimal downtime. Temporary redness and mild warmth are common immediately following treatment, while pigmented lesions may temporarily darken before gradually fading. Your clinician will provide personalised aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
In most cases, mineral makeup may be applied the following day once any initial warmth has settled. Your clinician will advise when it is appropriate based on your skin presentation and the intensity of treatment performed.
Treatment recommendations vary according to the type and severity of pigmentation being addressed. While some concerns may respond after a single session, most patients benefit from a series of treatments incorporated within a personalised treatment plan to achieve optimal and longer-term outcomes.
Treatment successfully reduces existing pigmentation; however, new pigmentation may develop over time through ongoing sun exposure, hormonal influences and natural ageing. Long-term skin health strategies, including sun protection, prescription skincare and maintenance treatments, help preserve results.
At Aestheté, LimeLight IPL is rarely prescribed in isolation. Treatment may be integrated with prescription skincare, advanced skin analysis and complementary technologies to address the underlying factors contributing to pigmentation while supporting healthier, more resilient skin over time.
As a precaution, Cutera LimeLight IPL is generally not performed during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Your clinician will discuss alternative treatment options where appropriate.
Protecting the skin from ultraviolet exposure is essential following treatment. Gentle skincare, appropriate hydration and daily broad-spectrum sunscreen should be used while the skin recovers. Your clinician will provide personalised aftercare recommendations, including guidance regarding active skincare products and the timing of future treatments.
Successful pigmentation treatment requires more than advanced technology. At Aestheté, every treatment begins with comprehensive consultation, skin analysis and clinical assessment to understand why pigmentation has developed. This allows treatment pathways to address not only visible pigment, but also the factors influencing long-term skin health, helping achieve more consistent and lasting outcomes.
